Conde Group, Inc. partners with Soles4Souls to send new shoes to Haiti Earthquake Victims
(San Diego, CA) Conde Group, Inc. donated 76 new pairs of shoes to victims of the Haiti Earthquake after an Economics teacher at La Jolla High School reached out to local students, parents and businesses to support Soles4Souls, a charity that facilitates the donations of shoes used to aid those in need worldwide.
With the opportunity to make a difference for the nearly 2,000,000 people left homeless, Conde Group, Inc. implemented their “bridge building” philosophy to join forces with Project Haiti, an initiative to donate 5,000 shoes to Haitian earthquake victims in need of appropriate footwear. Additionally, Conde Group, Inc. was able to strengthen relationships in the community by working together with the local Payless Shoes.
In the spirit of international aid and global community, Conde Group, Inc. closed its doors on January 15th and took the entire office on a “field trip” to Payless Shoes. In support of their dedication to Haitian Earthquake victims, the local Payless extended them a 10 percent discount.
As a result, Conde Group, Inc. was able to donate an additional 10 pairs of shoes. “I was personally inspired by how motivated everyone was to join us in supporting such an amazing cause” recounts Karen Conde, CEO.
Although it is the size of Maryland, Haiti has an estimated population of 9 million people and is the poorest Western Hemisphere Country with an estimated $14 billion to rebuild the country after the devastating earthquake.
